a chronicle of our days and half-time efforts at (sub)urban homesteading, musings on parenting, and a whole lot of the mundane, humdrum bits.

March 13 - 75 and sunny
today it was 75 and sunny
it's supposed to stay that way for a few days and then rain a bit
time for sandals
time to go through the next box of hand-me-downs to see what she'll be wearing this spring/summer
time to get started on a big project
time to start another tray or two of seeds
time to plant peas and potatoes
I think it's safe to say that, for the most part, spring is here
and really, it's right on time
a week early maybe
but that's alright
I'm kind of over this non-winter anyway
welcome, spring~

you've got to be kidding. first off, Bea had those sandals last year and she'll have another pair this year.
ReplyDeletebut the permit thing - that's on my list of things to do tomorrow. yep, we are building a porch too.
Here we go again, with our silly little parallel worlds~ Seriously now, if ever you are passing through our neck of the woods- you must come for a visit! It'd be nice to meet the woman with whom I share so many things unbeknownst to either of us~
DeleteThe first time I ever saw saltwater sandals was in one of your photos of Bea's cute little tootsies last summer. I kept my eye out for a pair and was planning to buy some for Claire this year, and then someone kindly passed on a bag of toddler shoes to me last fall. I was psyched to see the sandals in there and crossed my fingers they'd fit come spring, and they do!
We've had this dream of replacing the 3 windows in our dining room with french doors going out to a deck, and thought it'd be one of the last big projects we got to. But, we recently decided we'll gain so much more joy from that than from finishing our 2nd bathroom or updating our kitchen, so we are just going for it! woohoo!
