old bricks, dress up, and big boats

last weekend in Savannah for a dear friend's wedding.  we shared an apartment right on the river (the big cargo ship photos were all from the apartment's balcony) with another old friend of mine and her husband and five year old daughter.  we explored very little, but enough to know I'd like to go back someday for a proper historical walking tour.  there was a convention center across the river from us with a sign about a boat show that weekend, and after the big cargo ship went by my friend's daughter said "whew!  I guess they really did have a boat show, huh?!".  we had a good hearty laugh over that.

  1. What a sweet trip out of town. Even though I was raised in Ga, I've only ever passed though Savannah a few times. It is such an interesting town. Love the photo booth pics! And those freight ships...well, those really make me take pause. I wonder what "must-have" things they hold?
