    1. they were..... okay. I didn't have chocolate chips so I subbed the darker, more bitter chocolate that I did have and that, along with maple syrup being the only sweetener I used, left them a bit bitter and not quite sweet enough to be called, in my opinion, a real 'brownie'. I plan to tweak the recipe a bit and will share it when I do!

  2. Ah! I've been dying for a homemade nightgown but then I got out of the habit of nightgowns so long ago, when the fight I have with the covers each night made the gown become an armpit tourniquet. Wonder if I could make a waist-long nightgown and pair with some pantaloons. Thoughts?

    1. no doubt the world is your oyster when it comes to your pj preferences- I think the pjs you are describing sound super cute! I myself am not a fan of night gowns, either- they look cute, but I always feel tangled up!

    1. don't they? I've made avocado-chocolate mousse before and that was great. these were a bit bitter and I plan on playing around with the recipe a bit and trying again

    1. the brownies were....... okay. out of necessity I made some substitutions that didn't work really well and I want to tweak it a bit and try again. worth a re-try, at least!
