We have a similar palette here, but throw in some green too. The loofahs and green peppers are still producing and we just pulled a huge green gourd (about 25 pounds!) from out of a bush. Our second crop of red raspberries is just starting - got two perfect red ones yesterday.
to be sure, there is still a bit of green here as well. tomatillos and greens and sprouting peas..... but gosh these rich fall colors are just starting to pop up everywhere!
I do love to open up the pantry door and look at all the jars lined up n there. the only other stuff I'll process this year will be hot sauce and pickled peppers, and a bit more pickled okra. and maybe pickled beets. and maybe a bit of applesauce.
Love those colors!
ReplyDeleteme too!
