a chronicle of our days and half-time efforts at (sub)urban homesteading, musings on parenting, and a whole lot of the mundane, humdrum bits.
Love those colors!
We have a similar palette here, but throw in some green too. The loofahs and green peppers are still producing and we just pulled a huge green gourd (about 25 pounds!) from out of a bush. Our second crop of red raspberries is just starting - got two perfect red ones yesterday.
to be sure, there is still a bit of green here as well. tomatillos and greens and sprouting peas..... but gosh these rich fall colors are just starting to pop up everywhere!
Can't wait! The chill hasn't settled in here yet.
it's just the mornings and nights mostly around here so far, although today I did wear long sleeves ALL day long!
love the way you have captured that beautiful combo everywhere! and that food... yum!!
I just started noticing it everywhere and feel like these fall colors are just popping out all around!
Your shelves and counters are filling up! :)
I do love to open up the pantry door and look at all the jars lined up n there. the only other stuff I'll process this year will be hot sauce and pickled peppers, and a bit more pickled okra. and maybe pickled beets. and maybe a bit of applesauce.
thanks for taking the time to read and comment~
