goings on









a bike ride (we'd gone to vote in the primaries), came home via the greenway which of course meant stopping to throw stones in the creek.  and buttercups.  we waved to them as they floated down, happy yellow spots in the clear, cold water.

picked up an awesome connect four game at a local kids' consignment shop.  it is big and it is wooden.  it is also rather loud, but it makes up for that what with the big-ness and wooden-ness.  it goes well with wine and good music.  and a smiley four year old.

the art show is hung and it is great.  Claire loves showing off the 10 or so pieces she has on the walls in there and I know the kids all felt like rock stars at the opening.  it is essentially the culmination of all of their (and my) work for the year.  pretty rad.  (I can still use that word even though it isn't 1991 anymore, right?)




we've got a big and full weekend ahead, and I'm looking forward to joining up with Karen as she begins to host the weekending series previously hosted by Amanda at the habit of being

  2. rad is probably the most common word in my vocab.
    and can I tell you those photos of the bike and the woods is making me nearly teary. we have the ocean, and I keep telling myself that it makes living in dry Southern Cal worth it.

      we've definitely got green and humidity around here, no doubt. wish I could send a little moisture your way. and I'll keep dreaming of having your easy-access ocean and your lemon tree~

    1. found at it a consignment store and I'm really loving it. except I need to play with Mike and not Claire so I can really play, because I don't have the heart to block all her moves. not yet, anyway ;)
