  1. I am so impressed. I love strawberries, due to weather conditions here we won't see any until late June. Have a good week.

    1. I love strawberries, too. especially as jam. not sure how many will make it towards that though because around here we have trouble not gobbling them right up as we pick them ;)

    1. yes, yes! I was at a park with Claire this morning and was struck by how green everything suddenly is and by how warm and strongly the sun was shining on us. and now tonight there's a chill in the air and that feels great, too~ fall is my favorite season in and of itself, but this time of year is surely my most anticipated!

  3. Strawberries?! How is this possible when you had snow so recently? Did you have them in a greenhouse? Puzzles over this different climate...

    1. hmmm... trying to remember when our last snow was.... we had a couple nights of hard freezing in mid April, and the strawberry plants had already popped up and started flowering by then. we did cover them with sheets those nights, but they are just generally very hardy and seem to rebound in the spring very early and very easily!
