a chronicle of our days and half-time efforts at (sub)urban homesteading, musings on parenting, and a whole lot of the mundane, humdrum bits.

bear
remember her bear? here's a photo of her snuggled with him when she was not quite one (I still swoon over that mohawk of hers). I made him out of an old sweater. he is very, very simple. well, she has been asking if I could clean bear. if I could give him arms and legs, maybe a mouth, some new ears……..
the part of me that was hesitant to take on another little project was hugely drowned out by the 99% of me that was so excited that she still loved the old guy. so, yes, my sweet one, I will absolutely give it a go. yes, yes, yes.
step one. remove stitches and old stuffing, and clean the dirty old thing.
check.

ReplyDeleteI hope to!
DeleteHow sweet, looking forward to seeing what you do with the beloved bear.
ReplyDeleteto be honest, I'm still not exactly sure… but there are ideas poking around in my head, so that's a start!
Deletehow adorable that she has asked you to remodel her bear :) I bet you will do a wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteI was touched she insisted he get a tune-up instead of just tossing him aside. it did my mama heart good.
DeleteHe washed up SO WELL! I took my cabbage patch's head off to rehab and clean her. She's clean as a whistle... but decapitated.
ReplyDeletehe really did. I almost think I should dye him before continuing because, well…. because just look at that first photo- ew!
Deleteha! clean but decapitated. well I guess it's all about priorities, eh? ;)
