oh my gosh. yes. I feel, especially in these recent months, that she is just growing way too fast..... I know that's how it goes, but geez! she is seeming so much more 'kid' than 'baby' to me lately and it's definitely bittersweet. thank goodness there's the constant anticipation and joy about what's to come with these kiddos, or I'd be a heap of (joyful, but still..) tears!
I thought so, too. She went from sunshines (there are a few of her suns in the left side of the first big painting, near the top) to people over the course of a few days and now the little people have pupils and different mouths depending on how they are feeling. It is not at all what I expected in terms of how her art would progress, (I expected the sunshine and scribbles for a lot longer) but she does come to work with me a lot (which is an after school art program) and she sits there with snacks and paper and art supplies as I teach, so she has certainly had the opportunity and exposure. Little sponges!
this growing they do...it's incredible.
